The University of Garden City (UGC) was inaugurated on Monday, May 11, 2003, as a genuine addition to the Higher Education and Scientific Research system in Sudan, equipped with the entire infrastructure that enables it to achieve its ambitious mission. A leading university, and distinguished academic centre, locally, regionally and internationally, to provide advanced academic services within a caring environment, designed to promote success, and renewed, continually improved scientific research according to international standards. The university has a mandate to lead the nation in terms of human capital development, leading innovation, contributing to economic development and leading society. Technology and the rapidly changing external environment, which is transforming teaching and research, are challenging the traditional view of the university. Students and wider society require year round access to high quality courses and flexible modes of delivery.

First Therapeutic Day

The Association of the Faculty of Medicine Students at the University of Garden City, in cooperation with the Association of the Faculty Of Dentistry, held its first therapeutic day in the Samir area of Al-Jazeera State, local local residents, on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Bashair Al Salam School. Where the treatment was detected and given to a number of patients in the region in different clinics (children - general - private - surgery - women and obstetric - psychiatry) in addition to the distribution of medicines for free and health education and awareness services. A number of doctors also volunteered to participate in the convoy in their role in serving the community, they lauded the students' efforts in organizing and preparing for the convoy and their awareness of their role as future doctors. In their turn, the students of the university welcomed the people of the area to the dense convoy and their efforts made to make the day successful and complete it.
